ASELSAN stamp on 2023 defense industry
ASELSAN, Turkey's leading defense and technology company, achieved many firsts both at home and abroad in 2023. A large number of high-tech products and systems were made available to security forces for the first time this year, and the total number of countries to which ASELSAN exports increased to 85.
Ahmet Akyol, General Manager and CEO of ASELSAN, provided information on the most prominent developments in the company's activities this year.
In his post, Akyol said, "With our national technologies, we left our mark on 2023, the symbol of the Turkish Century. In 2024, we will continue to work day and night to develop the firsts and the best."
National achievements of 2023:
Production/Deliveries
*The Combat Aircraft KAAN, HÜRJET, AKINCI, ALTAY, MİLGEM warships, TCG ANADOLU, PİRİREİS submarine were equipped with ASELSAN systems,
*In the IFV Modernization Project, vehicles were delivered to the units,
*The first deliveries of the modernized mortars were made,
*Storm howitzers were equipped with new generation fire control systems,
*A fire control system was offered to the Boran howitzers and exports were made possible,
*Domestic and international deliveries of the ALKAR Mortar Weapon System continued,
*ASELPOD Targeting Pod mass production deliveries have been completed,
*Deliveries of CATS cameras were increased, 177th CATS camera was delivered,
*Deliveries of our Weapon Detection Radar STR were completed,
*The use of our Air Traffic Control Radar HTKR was expanded,
*The IFF Unified Interrogator Responder developed for F16s was delivered,
*The design of the National Combat Aircraft communication subsystem (ICNI) prototype was completed and delivered.
Products entering inventory for the first time
*SERHAT-Dual Radar, which is effective against mortars, artillery, rockets and mini-micro UAVs, was brought into inventory for the first time,
*YENER-Modern Mine Detection System was delivered to the army for the first time,
*ASELSAN 3810 - The first delivery of the mission critical hybrid (LTE+DMR) handheld terminal was made,
*The first deliveries of the DORUK-2 Electro-Optical Sensor System were made,
*The CENK three-dimensional search radar, AKREP fire control radar and ALPER-P radar used on ships were delivered for the first time,
*The ASELFLIR-400 camera, which provides high imagery for helicopters, was delivered for the first time,
*The GÖZDE guidance kit, which provides precision strike capability to air platforms, was delivered for the first time,
*CETVEL-100, a laser distance meter system with a national module, was brought into inventory for the first time,
*The first delivery of the KARAKURT reconnaissance, surveillance and targeting system was realized,
*PIRI-100, which provides infrared search and tracking for naval platforms, was delivered,
*IRIS-100 Infrared Missile Warning System was delivered with an indigenous sensor for the first time,

*The ASELFLIR-500 camera, the best in its field in the world, was developed, integrated into UAVs, completed firing tests and started the mass production phase,
*The national AESA-based aircraft radar MURAD was integrated into the AKINCI UAV and jet aircraft,
*Space conditions verification tests of ASELSAN payloads on Turksat-6A were successfully completed,
*LGK-82 Guidance Kit was integrated into the AKINCI UAV and its firing was successfully completed,
* TOLUN Guided Miniature Bomb was integrated into the AKINCI UAV and its firing was successfully completed,
*The LGK-81 Guidance Kit was integrated into the HÜRKUŞ and its firing was successfully completed,
*AKKOR Active Protection System has been made ready for mission,
*Provisional acceptance tests of the Early Warning Radar ERALP were carried out,
*First missile fired from Marlin SIDA,
The first torpedo fired from *MİR IDA,
*The target was successfully hit with the ALBATROS Kamikaze Unmanned Naval Vehicle,
*The Swarm UAV concept was successfully implemented in Electronic Warfare,
*GÜRZ, GÖKSUR, GÖKDEMİR and GÖKBERK were added to the air defense systems,
*The first prototype production of TULGAR, which will be the airborne eye of the pilots of the National Combat Aircraft KAAN, has been completed,
The first flight of the *TB2 UAV was carried out with the national encrypted software-based radio and Ku-band SATCOM system,
*Integrated in-vehicle face recognition system tests were successfully carried out.
Firsts in advanced technology
*The first quantum integrated circuits are produced,
*Domestically and nationally designed and produced GaN Transistors have entered the system integration phase,
*High Speed Adaptive Modulated X-Band Transmitter unit developed for reconnaissance and observation satellites,
*Successful acceptance of the first national cooled infrared detectors,
*Successfully completed pilot production of uncooled and SWIR detectors in multiple quantities,
*The first export was realized by integrating the indigenously and domestically developed ELMAS display into the cockpit of the ATAK Helicopter,
*Acceptance of HAMLE, a decision support and command assistant with artificial intelligence algorithms based on reinforcement learning, was completed,
*107 products were nationalized within a year. It is estimated that these products will provide Turkey with 1 billion dollars in the next three years.
High technologies in the civilian sector:
*Istanbul Airport Metro signaling system was put into use,
*Electric buses reduced carbon emissions in cities,
*ARIN X-Ray Baggage Inspection Devices were rolled out nationwide,
*The design of the indigenous Mobile X-Ray device in the field of health has been completed and the production phase has started,
*The number of deliveries of OED Automated External Defibrillator devices reached 9 thousand,
*A high-speed weight measurement system was installed on Azerbaijan's highways,
*KARETTA Anti-Jam System was integrated to the National Drillship Abdülhamid Han.
International achievements:
* Ranked 47th in the list of the world's largest defense industry companies, up two places,
*It was ranked 60th in the list of companies with the highest sales of arms and military services in the world announced by SIPRI,
*Exports were made to 4 countries for the first time this year, and the total number of countries to which exports were made increased to 85,
*Export contracts were signed for the first time for 16 new products,
*The globalization strategy continued with offices opened in Poland, Chile, the UAE and Macedonia,
*For the first time, an international serial production contract was signed in the field of tank systems,
*The first export contracts were signed for both land and naval versions of the Air Defense Systems,
*The first international delivery of the HAKİM Air Command Control System was realized,
* The first export of the software-based National Marine Radio was realized,
With *TB2 and AKINCI, the number of countries to which CATS cameras are exported has exceeded 10.

* According to the Istanbul Stock Exchange market capitalization ranking, ASELSAN rose from 8th place last year to 7th place this year,

*Corporate Governance Rating reached a historic high of 9.41,
*Became Turkey's "patent leader" in the defense industry,
*The size of the settlements reached 5 million 174 thousand 412 square meters,
