Working on the concept of "digital unity" by taking into account the needs of the future operational environment, HAVELSAN has started to offer unmanned systems for use both domestically and internationally.
The first member of the digital unity, the unmanned ground vehicle BARKAN, entered the inventory during the year, and BAHA was added to it before the end of the year.
HAVELSAN achieved export success with BAHA in Africa and Central Asia this year, and offered the vehicle for use by security forces in Turkey. BAHA was put into service following successful tests. Thus, BAHA was added to the national unmanned aerial vehicle systems in the inventory of the Turkish Armed Forces.

BAHA was developed to meet the needs of modern armies.
BAHA, which draws attention with its vertical landing and take-off capability, fully autonomous mission capability, modular architecture that allows the integration of different payloads, can conduct joint operations with all unmanned systems with additional superior features.
Powered by a gasoline engine in horizontal navigation, the system utilizes electric motors in vertical landing and take-off.
BAHA, which can stay in the air for up to 6 hours with its gasoline engine (up to 2 hours with the electric engine) and can perform missions up to 15 thousand feet altitude, can offer a range of up to 80 kilometers.
Capable of carrying up to 5 kilograms of payload, BAHA has a wingspan of 3.7 meters.

The system can be easily installed by two people, operated by a single person and made ready for duty within minutes.
To date, the system has been tested in different regions, under harsh climatic and operational conditions, and has been improved based on feedback from security forces.
BAHA can be used in missions such as tracking, detection and area protection, intelligence, electronic warfare, coastal and border security, energy transmission and oil-gas lines inspection, smuggling and counter-terrorism, public order, narcotic plant detection, settlement thermal measurement, forest fire management, post-disaster assessment, bilge and environmental pollution detection, agricultural applications and cartography.

Contributed to search and rescue in the earthquake
BAHA participated in the operations carried out in the aftermath of the Kahramanmaraş earthquakes and provided imagery support to the teams.
BAHA, which met the need for images with its ability to fly under the cloud when it was difficult to take images with UAVs due to adverse weather conditions, contributed to obtaining the first information about the settlements where transportation was not possible.
