Signatures signed for serial production in SİPER Product-1 and HİSAR projects
A contract was signed by the Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB) and the relevant companies for the serial production of the SİPER Product-1 and HİSAR systems, which will enter the inventory next year.
The "Serial Production Contract Signing Ceremony for the SİPER Product-1 and HİSAR Projects", which was initiated by the SSB within the scope of the needs of the Turkish Armed Forces, was held at the SSB.
In his speech at the ceremony, Haluk Görgün, President of the Presidency of Defence Industries, pointed out that the platforms recently developed for land, air and sea have attracted the attention of the world, and explained that they are using the latest technology to the fullest in this process.
Pointing out that there were not many domestic and national products in air defence systems 8-10 years ago, Görgün said, "Considering the layered air system, we now have products that have entered the inventory in every layer, are used in the field, and will soon enter the inventory. Especially in the very low layer, our products such as Kangal, Sapan, İhtar and Gergedan serve against electronic warfare low-altitude and drones, while our laser-integrated ALKA system has been developed to successfully neutralize targets. When we moved to the next layer, Korkut, Sungur and HİSAR-A systems were put into service. Our HİSAR-O systems are on duty. At the top layer, our SİPER system, which will take part in the defense of our homeland, is being tested. As soon as we start 2024, it will hopefully be brought into inventory with the coordinated work of everyone operating in this field."
Pointing out that they are also working on air defense systems for the naval forces, Görgün said that the Korkut system has started to be integrated into ships. Görgün noted that dependency in this field has also been eliminated.
Underlining that ensuring the coordinated operation of air defence systems is an engineering achievement, Görgün said that the integrated operation of the air defence system and radars requires a separate study.
