Turkish armored vehicle will reinforce Turkish-Hungarian friendship

During the visit of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on the 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkey and Hungary, a series of agreements were signed in different fields.

In this context, Nurol Makina, which has been producing armored combat vehicles for the needs of the Hungarian army for some time, has strengthened its activities since 2019.

Nurol Makina, which signed a cooperation agreement with Raba Otomotiv in October to produce the tactical wheeled armored vehicle known as Ejder Yalçın 4X4 in Turkey under the name Gidran in Hungary, signed a contract for the "establishment of a joint venture company" after the agreement on the details of this agreement.

The joint venture agreement was signed between Kristof Szalay-Bobrovniczky, Minister of Defence of Hungary, and Oğuz Çarmıklı, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nurol Holding, in the presence of Haluk Görgün, President of the Presidency of Defence Industries.

The joint venture will be implemented under the coordination of Raba, Nurol Makina, N7 Holding and the Hungarian Ministry of Defense.

According to the contract, the parties will establish a joint venture named Gidran. The production facilities will be located within Raba's facility in Györ.

In these facilities, it is aimed to realize the assembly and production capability of Gidran 4X4 armored combat vehicles in Hungary with the highest possible domestic added value and Hungarian supplier contribution.

Within the scope of the cooperation, more than 200 direct job opportunities are expected to be created. In addition, it is aimed to implement projects for the development of indigenous subsystems and technologies with Györ Szechenyi Istvan University and Hungarian defense industry companies, which are among the partners of Raba.

Currently, a large number of Gidran vehicles produced in Turkey and delivered to the Hungarian army are serving successfully.
